This Privacy Notice explains how Al Najah Private School (ANPS) L.L.C. ("the School", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use this website, enquire about admission, shop online, contact us, or otherwise interact with us. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.

We process personal data in line with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the UAE PDPL) and applicable Abu Dhabi and ADEK requirements.

What personal data we collect

We collect only the data we need for the purposes described below:

• Admission enquiries — parent and student names, contact details, the student’s current grade or year, and any message you send us.
• Admission documents — copies of documents you upload or submit as part of registration, which may include passport, Emirates ID, birth certificate, photographs, and previous school records.
• Online shop orders — items ordered, billing and delivery details, and the name and contact details of the person placing the order.
• Proof of payment — payment-confirmation files you upload, together with the related order or fee reference.
• Contact form — your name, email, phone number, and the content of your message.
• Newsletter — the email address you provide when you subscribe.
• Alumni register — the name, contact details, and graduation information you submit when you join the alumni network.

We do not intentionally collect more sensitive categories of data beyond what registration requires, and we ask you not to send us such data through the website unless we have requested it.

How we use your personal data

We use personal data to:

• respond to admission enquiries and manage the registration process;
• process and fulfil online shop orders and reconcile payments;
• verify proof of payment against school fees and order records;
• answer messages sent through the contact form;
• send the newsletter and school updates to subscribers;
• maintain the alumni register and share relevant alumni news; and
• meet our legal, regulatory, and reporting obligations.

We rely on your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate educational interests, and our legal obligations as the lawful bases for this processing.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where necessary, including with:

• the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) and other regulators where required;
• our payment provider to process card payments securely (we do not store full card details on this website);
• service providers who host the website and support our operations under confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law and ADEK record-keeping rules. Admission and student records are retained in line with regulatory requirements; enquiry, newsletter, and order data are kept for as long as the relationship is active and then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights under the PDPL

Subject to the conditions in the law, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• ask us to delete your data;
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• request transfer of your data; and
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

Children’s data

Much of the data we hold relates to students who are children. We collect and use this data with the involvement of parents or guardians and only for educational and administrative purposes. Parents and guardians may exercise data rights on behalf of their children.

How we protect your data

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, including access controls and secure handling of uploaded documents.

International transfers

Where personal data is processed or stored outside the UAE by our service providers, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with the PDPL.
